Cats are fascinated with toys. If you were to close your eyes and think back on your happiest times with your cat, chances are that the images that come to mind are your cat(s) playing. Hunting, jumping, overpowering, and hitting toys around provides cats and their people tons of joy - so why do cats so often dismiss the toys we bring home for them?
There is one very simple rule to keep in mind when buying toys for cats: cats like a variety of toys. They like an assortment of interactive cat toys that use each of their hunting skills. If you have plenty of toys, you can rotate your cat's options so they can hunt for a favorite toy. Just don't hide a favorite toy away for good. Ensure your cats have opportunities to play with all of their toys frequently.
What are the groups of cat toys? Here are just a few:
Balls and chasers entice your cat to chase with feathers, fun noises, and peculiar shapes.
Chew toys are a great choice for cats that love to chew. They also help to keep your cat's breath fresh and their teeth clean.
Interactive and electronic toys bring out the best in your cat's hunting skills.
Plush and mice toys end up being beloved toys that can soothe and ease your cat when it's time to go into the carrier.
Scratcher posts and mats are a must for all ages of cats, from kitties to senior cats.
Teasers and wands are great toys for sharing playtime with your cat.
Tunnels become the hiding places where you can quickly find your cat.
And variety packs help make sure your cat always has a fun toy.
Cats favor toys that are light and small enough to be swatted without a lot of effort. They also like toys that are small enough to be grasped. And their favorite toys are objects they can play with in numerous different ways.
When you are looking for toys for your cat, you need to make sure they don't have any strings that could be pulled off and swallowed. They need to be large enough that your cat won't try to eat them. They must be made from non-toxic materials. Tiny button eyes and button noses are cute, but anything that can be bitten off and swallowed is risky for your cat. Cats of all ages can be hurt by toys with sharp points and edges. At Pet Pantry, we only offer toys that are safe for your cat.

So delighted to find a place that carries frozen raw dog foods. Frozen raw bones and reasonably priced.
Super friendly and superb service. We are on vacation and stopped in to get our puppy a bone. The selection is awesome and their help was fantastic. If were locals this would be our go to place!
Pet Pantry is well stocked and some Hills special joint food for our old Husky. We had ordered the prescription joint food for her but it didn't arrive in time so we used the off the shelf kind to supplement her needs.
Sally and Dave were helpful and knowledgeable about a variety of products to make our girl more comfortable in her recovery after a surgery. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of soft food and pricing to make it affordable to keep our big lady with a full belly without breaking the bank.
Awesome locally owned shop with knowledgeable staff whom genuinely care about furry (and feathered) friends and the products they offer.
Thank you Sally and Dave!
Sally & team do a fantastic job. Atticus lives the lineup of Stella’s options. Sally is great at recommending things I hadn’t considered. Love Pet Pantry.
